We’re creating FIRST TO ORION for our future, so that the generation of tomorrow can be inspired, just like us today .

THE FILM

First To Orion (FTO) depicts the true story of Guy and Alicia Juzang, who have mastered their careers as an IBM Systems Engineer and Modeling Simulation Sr. Programmer, respectively. Wanting to leave their lucrative jobs, a chance conversation with a neighbor that confirms Guy’s dreams, leads them down an unbelievable path to develop a first-ever aerospace engineering firm led by Black-Americans. Although they have similar goals, Guy and Alicia have opposing methods of reaching them. Alicia resorts twice to girlfriends for advice after Guy breaks the news to her that he wants to start their own firm (leaving their lucrative jobs) and later when he tells her he wants to use their home for collateral for a loan. Alicia won’t be walked over and demands to be an equal partner. Alicia’s stardom glows when she fixes the software that allows the military to complete the mission.

Infinity Technology, Inc. (Infinity) was birthed, and it would be the substantial work they completed for their first business contract that routes them to a bigger, more remunerative contract with Lockheed Martin, but not without turmoil. This contract will pave the way for America’s first black engineers to contribute to modern day Aeronautics and U.S. National Security, becoming cited by the POTUS and Congress, and earning the “#1 Small Business Subcontractor in America” award (FY2000), but it will also invite in jealousy, manipulation, and tremendous upheaval. From Guy secretly using their home as collateral for a bank loan, to the mounting pressure for Infinity to combat cyber breaches from foreign adversaries, a North Korean missile launch, to an FBI Investigation due to multiple backstabbing employees, FTO is full of twists and confrontational elements that threaten to destroy every aspect of their historical work, not to mention their marriage.
